Internet Overseer

This document describes the procedures our development team follows to manage, use, and gather personal data from our users ("you") in relation to our Internet Overseer services. It does not apply to our website or other products. Please note that this policy may be updated, and we encourage you to review it regularly. Any changes will be communicated through email, in-app notifications, or other appropriate methods, with your consent.

DATA WE DO NOT COLLECT

We are committed to being transparent about the data we refrain from collecting. Notably, we do not track or store information about your activities while using the VPN, such as the apps, services, or websites you access. Additionally, we do not retain logs of your original IP addresses, the IP addresses of VPN servers, or any DNS queries.

DATA WE COLLECT

At Internet Overseer, we prioritize the privacy and security of our users. We are dedicated to maintaining clear and transparent communication about the data we collect, its purposes, and why it is necessary.

USER ACCOUNT INFORMATION

Registration Date: This is automatically recorded when you create an account (e.g., 2018/09/01).

Subscription Information: This includes details such as the duration of your subscription, which is logged automatically upon signing up (e.g., 2018/09/01 - 2018/10/01).

This data is collected to help us provide you with efficient customer support.

DEVICE AND APP USAGE DATA

Each time you open the Internet Overseer app, we record certain details, such as the version of your operating system (e.g., iOS 11.3.1-10,000,000) and the version of the app you are using (e.g., Version 6.1_132_432908b). We also track daily interactions (e.g., 2018/09/01-19,000,000) and gather geodemographic data from the App Store and Google Play Store (e.g., US-100,000,000). This information helps us understand user preferences, guides our product development, and enhances the overall user experience and functionality of the app.

VPN USAGE DETAILS

Each time you connect with our VPN, we automatically identify the server location (e.g., US-California server 1) and log the connection time (e.g., Connected@15:30 2018/05/15). We also record any connection issues (e.g., Error_Userdoesnotallowconfiguration) and the network type used (e.g., 4G), according to our analytics provider. These details are crucial for troubleshooting and enhancing the quality of our VPN service. To protect your privacy, we delete this information from our systems after 96 hours.

FURTHER DATA COLLECTION

We gather information about app crashes and user interactions within the Internet Overseer app to analyze performance and user engagement with its features. Additionally, we collect identifiers for advertising purposes, such as the IDFA on iOS or the Advertising ID on Android. This data is crucial for assessing the app’s functionality and maintaining our free VPN service. Rest assured, we do not share this information with third-party advertisers.
